Inspired by mid-century modern tile patterns, Iterations is a collection of Hats that uses unconventional stranded colourwork to create geometric patterns that travel around the Hat. By making clever use of moving markers, each pattern is continuous and jogless, before merging into the crown for a perfect finish.
Each Hat in the Iterations collection is knitted bottom-up and in the round. The ideal yarn for these Hats is a heavy 4-ply or sportweight, in a multi-plied fibre with some natural give, such as merino. The graphic details work with high or lower contrast colours.
Each of the patterns are provided in both written and charted format. The eBook contains detailed photographic tutorials for the techniques used, and the single patterns contain links to additional tutorials that can be downloaded as PDFs.
