It was Memorial Day weekend and Barina was headed to the beach with her friend Tina, the beach bunny. They had been waiting for this weekend for months! Summer was finally here and this year had been especially hard. It would be nice to finally do something happy and wash away the turmoil of the past few months with a nice day at the beach.

“Do you think we will find lots of pretty seashells?” Tina asked as she hopped alongside Barina. “I sure hope so! I want to make a pretty necklace, and nothing is prettier than seashells!” Barina said. “Oh, I agree! Waves, fun, sun, and pretty shells, here we come!” and the two friends giggled and ran towards the beach.

Barina and Tina put their things down and took out a fishing pole that they had brought along with them. “Let’s start this day off right with a little fishing!” Tina exclaimed. “That’s a great idea!” Barina said and they both ran towards the pier. Tina tossed the line in and they sat down at the edge of the pier to enjoy the beauty of the day and the water.

“What a glorious day. I don’t think life could get any better.” Tina remarked. Just then the line began to tug. What was on the line? Come along with Barina and her friends on another exciting adventure!
