It had been a really rough year. Barina had held out hope for things getting better but the light at the end of the tunnel had been very dim. She had spent a quiet New Year’s Eve with her best friend Bonnie the Bunny. They had a most lovely evening of tea and biscuits and watched the fireworks light up the midnight sky. Barina remarked to Bonnie, “You see, 2021 is going to the Year of the Ox. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if instead of real animals it could be the Year of the Pegacorn or Baby Water Dragon?!” and both girls giggled.

“I would love if it were a dragon! I would make myself a little dragon wristlet and proudly wear it everywhere. Now, why would I do that you ask? Well my dragon wristlet would be magical in nature, of course! It would protect me from evil and whisk me away to far off fantastic lands to explore!” Bunny waved her paws as she told of the adventures she would have.
