Barina spoke into her intergalactic communicator, “We are surrounded, Yan! Do you see the Starlink Space Orbitor? My 3-D goggles cannot detect the presence of the nobelium shield. I’m afraid it has been compromised!”

“This is Commander Yan B. Mine. I’m afraid the Starlink has met its demise. I’m sending out my best scout, Duchess the Ladybug, to survey the damage and area. Over.” Yan motioned to Duchess and she took off. “This is Lt. Duchess T. Ladybug and I’m coming around the first hill. Damage assessment in progress,” and Duchess flew around a fallen tree trunk surrounded by weeds.

“Commander Yan and Col. Barina I have found the Starlink. It is in ruins! Looks like we will have to radio for backup. Over,” and Duchess flew around the stump. “This is Commander Yan to Starlink HQ. We have suffered a cataclysmic failure of the Starlink. Initiate Stickman/Hugbot protocol immediately.” And Yan put his “communication device” back on his belt loop but not before relaying the message to Col. Barina. “The Starlink is no more. We are stuck here for the foreseeable future if the meteor showers continue to bombard this planet. Our only hope is the Stickman/Hugbot rescue protocol. They are our last hope.”
