Each year, the collection is shaped by a theme. This year, it’s just two words.

Candlelight and company.

That’s the heart of Knitvent 2026, inspired by the kind of season I’m craving right now. Not the holidays as they appear in the movies, or in the shop windows, or in anyone else’s idea of what celebration should look like. I’m dreaming of comfort and ease. A cosy room with a few favourite people in it. A few candles flickering on the table. Conversation rich in shared history, sprinkled with inside jokes and punctuated by companionable silences. Simple moments of shared happiness.

The six secret designs in this year’s collection are made for those moments, and the people who belong in them. Sweet, giftable accessories that bring as much joy in the making as they do in the giving, and one grand scrappy design, waiting to make the most of 24 mini skeins in an advent calendar set, or all those cherished leftovers you’ve been keeping for something worthy of them.

Whether you’re making for the people gathered around your own table, sending warmth to someone who can’t be there in person, or knitting for yourself and the sheer joy of it, there’s something in this Knitvent for you.

Six secret patterns. Five festive weeks. A season of celebrating your own instinct for joy.
