Contains photos and charts of 178 Latvian mittens from historical pieces. The charts are in full colour. The edition in Latvian language contains some text in English, though the book mainly is in in Latvian. The patterns, however, are entirely charted and in full colour.

This book was originally printed in 2012, but has been reprinted in 2014. It is available from multiple publishers in multiple languages, including the publisher Sena Klets, in Riga, Latvia.

An English version called Mittens of Latvia was published in 2015, the German version, called Handschuhe aus Lettland was published in September 2016, together with the Norwegian translation and the Japanese translation.

The pattern entries for this book in the Ravelry database contain the region of Latvia, the sub-region, and the page number of the chart. Even though this is non-standard for Ravelry, this is the only way to uniquely identify the many patterns in this book.
