There’s something ineffably French about the best pâtisserie. The comfort of a fresh, warm croissant, the elegance of irresistible macarons, indulgent cream-filled gâteaux, and delicate petit fours enjoyed at a favourite café… the skills learned by maîtres pâtissiers are not so much about baking as they are about artistry. There are similarities with the designs featured in our 17th issue of YARN Bookazine: both culinary works of art and yarncraft are symbols of indulgence and craftsmanship.
