What a fun project!
Yes, it’s a little fiddly, but worth it! My yarn is a little thinner than the DK called for in the pattern. So I went down to a size 0. I had short double points in that size and they are more comfortable than the longer double points that I had in size 1. The only drawback is that the shorter needles are more blunt. I sharper needle would be better for the increases and decreases that are needed.
I finished toad’s body and legs in a day of knitting.
