My current sockhead hat is so faded and really starting to show it’s 5 year age. I have a mini skein set that I won as a NoCKRs door prize and I decided to use it.

I’m using a clasped weft join for starting the new yarn. I’m also using a slip stitch pattern on the row where a new color starts. The colors came with an order that was the dyers version of a rainbow. I rearranged them a little and didn’t start with the R in ROYGBIV. I’m starting with the blue tones. I’ll definitely make the full slouchy goodness that the pattern calls for. I love the one I’ve had for a few years.

I’m challenging myself to finish this in time to wear it to NoCKRs since the yarn is from last year’s retreat.
