Ms and Os (Four-fold) from MPD and JST guild. 29 blocks across with a very thin yellow warped every other thread with other ends of spools.

Winding on was a bear! The fine yellow thread that is every other end was trying to twist around everything! And I was winding on by myself. So it took awhile, but now it’s done and I’m ready to check for threading errors.
I had a few of the thin yellow threads break. Most of them I was able to tie back together, but there are two that are hanging off the back.
I’ll be doing a little sampling on the front end with different warp weights. The sett may be a little too open for the size of the threads, so we’ll see how this works.

Two towels done. Because the majority of warp threads are much thinner than usual I have a sett of 24 epi and I also decided to use thicker warp for the first two towels. Towel 1 is using a thick and thin slubby cotton that has made some kitchen towels that I really like in Monks Belt.
Because it is natural beige/white cotton it really muted the warp and made a very pale towel.
Towel 2 is using a pale orange 3/2 cotton as the weft and I put in a wide royal blue stripe on one end and a narrow stripe on the other. (Using up a bobbin.) I like both the pale weft and the dark one. I think the next towel will use one of the warp colors as weft yarn. Not one of the really thin ones, I’ll pick one that is closer to what I usually use for towels. Still, I think the towel will be thinner (maybe too thin? We’ll see) and also less of the warp will be covered so perhaps the warp will seem more prominent than in the first two.

Towel 3 is blocks of color using the pale blue, orange and yellow from the weft. Started towel 4 with a pale yellow cotton single plied with a thread. I’ve always thought it was awful yarn, but it might just be perfect for this project!
