This shawl was chosen as the June 2012 beginner shawl for the group Dozen Shawls in 20dozen.

The directions are hard to follow as they are originaly in German. With help from our group this pattern is being written out.

Followed the chart (which does include the edge stitches), was a delight to knit. Easy to remember the repeats.

If I would knit this again, I would not use the large stitch markers that I used. They made my stitches around them uneven. Hopefully blocking will help.

I also would have used a different bind off. I knit tight so I tried to use a loose bind off, found this one knitting through the back loop, but it was not stretchy at all for me :(
