This was made as a Christmas present. When doing some research about the cowl Katniss wore from The Hunger Games I came across the inspiration for the cowl, and I liked that one even better. I realized that the cowl was not done by knitting or crochet, but rather weaving. So my cowl is made of many herringbone braids of varying thicknesses all sewn together. It took a lot longer than I expected, but I am very pleased with the way it turned out.
