This was not the first felted bag I’ve made, but it’s the first one I’ve been happy with.

I made up the pattern: basically a garter stitch rectangular for the bottom, picked up stitches on three sides and knit it in the round.

The finished bag was felted in the washing machine, and the sunflower design was needle felted on.

11/01/2012 - I just received a call from the friend that I made this for. She received it in the mail today and just Loves it! It was a Christmas 2011 gift… I’ve kept delaying it because I wanted to make it just right.
