Notes

I made this bag because I wanted one, and because I wanted to use up scraps of yarn that weren’t big enough for a full project.

I love the way this turned out. I think it will be my winter hand bag! I’m going to line it and include pockets to make it really functional.

The photos show the bag before and after it was machine felted. The dog in the photos is Skeeter, and she’s about 12 lbs. So the bag was very large to start… about 21 inches wide and 25 inches high.

This bag, like all my felted projects, is heavily felted. I like the so that no stitches show, and the fabric is very solid and thick. I love the structure and heft of it felted that way.

*Project completed I showed this bag to a woman at work and she bought it for her daughter for the holidays! I just love how it turned out. I lined it with a batik cotton, one zippered pocket, one divided pocket.
