Notes

the instructions said that you should start the ribbing at 1/2 way through your yarn. Since the Kroy is smaller skeins, that make it easy. I was worried that the scarf would be small with just two skeins. But after blocking, it’s perfect.

And about blocking… it was absolutely necessary. I couldn’t have worn it without blocking.

I love the striping on this. I think the pattern looks much better with a yarn that will stripe. You really get the curve of the piece.

My one warning about this pattern: make sure your edges are really loose. I could see after a few rows that my to edge was going to be way too tight if I didn’t loosen up the last few stitches of each row. Once I did that, it worked much better. It blocked up very nicely and easily.

I really like this and will make it again. However, I think I’ll cast on more stitches to begin. I think the pattern calls for six stitches CO. I would at least double that, maybe more to give the neck a little bit nicer shape. Also, I’ll probably do a 2x4 cable in the ribbing next time, like this: http://www.ravelry.com/projects/LindaMNoble/tgv-high-spee...
