Notes

Started this one yesterday (January 6, 2012) as a substitute gift scarf for the person who was supposed to receive the clapotis. I bought her another present, but felt like she needed something else. Figured I could whip this up in no time. Her brother told me she likes pinks and purples, and her coloring is a lot like mine, so I hope she likes this.

End result? It looks like a glittery pink wooly worm, but I absolutely love it! ^_^ I would wear it with EVERYTHING, casual or dressy. The glitter eyelash yarn gives it a lot of sparkle, but not so much that you get overwhelmed. The colors of the two yarns blend nicely, and I like the gold sparkle with it.

A manager had made one for me years ago in a burnt orange color, and I love it so much that I wanted more in several colors. Initially I bought the glitter eyelash yarn to make one of these for myself, but I can wait.

The pattern was simple:
Row 1: CO 12
Row 2: Knit
Row 3: K, YO, K repeat until end (should have 23 stitches on the needle)
Row 4: K, drop YO from left needle, YO on right needle, K repeat until end

Repeat Row 4 to desired length.
3rd to last row: K, drop YOs between stitches. 12 stitches remain.
2nd to last row and last row: Knit.

I admit I bound it off a little tight. Oh well, you can barely notice that. It’s still a fun little scarf.
