• I started with a moss-stitch (US seed stitch) tab and continued this for the edging instead of working in garter stitch.
• I also substituted kfb for the first increase of each row, but kept the eyelet increase for the last.
• Worked to 451 stitches, 33 cm (13”) centre back, 23.4 gr. remaining.
• 6 rows of moss-stitch edging used 15.1 gr., 8.3 gr. remaining for cast-off.
• Cast-off used 3.7 gr.

Finished dressed size: 39 cm (15½“) at deepest point, 112 cm (44”) wingspan when straightened.

Tension is 4.5 spi and 8.5 rpi after blocking.

The simplicity and clean lines of this design really appeal to me, but I do not care for the style in which the pattern is written.

For me, negotiating 20 markers on my needles would sap all the joy out of knitting this piece; not to mention it makes for an unnecessarily wordy pattern.

Good way to make “knit all stitches” seem complicated!
