On Grafting:
Some notes categorically state to end the strip after a RS row. This is not always the case and is actually dependent upon which provisional cast-on was used. I used the modified JMCO (like this), and my strip needed to end after a WS row. To have a correct set-up for garter-stitch grafting one end should display the knit stitches and the other end the purl stitches.
(I used fresh yarn, and worked separate stocking-stitch grafting on the i-cord to achieve a totally invisible graft.)
