10/14/2014 - Update: These socks won first place in the “Socks” category at our local Knitting Guild competition last evening! Yay!

This is a test knit for Qianer/HiyaHiya.

Did a gauge swatch - my yarn must be too fine for this gauge. I would need to go up a couple needle sizes. I don’t think that would be a good idea because the socks would not wear well.

NOTE after finishing these socks and washing them. I always forget that this yarn plumps up after giving the finished project a wash and soak. I think this yarn was meant for machine knitting - but the hand knit projects are lovely after washing.

3/11/2012 Knitting with US 1.5 needles. If the socks don’t work for me, I’ll gift them. Finished cuff and one repeat of Peach Leaves pattern.

3/12/2012 - almost done with the gussett decreases.

3/13/2012 - finished one sock - starting second. Two repeats of peach leaf completed.

3/16/2012 - Done. Socks are washed and laid flat to dry.

3/17/2012 - I’m never happy with my photographs, but these are the best of the dozens I took.

Modifications: I continued the center motif of the lace when I started the toe decreases. Ending the two side motifs by completing row 7 of chart and ending the center motif by completing row 11 of chart.
