I didn’t use a pattern for this, I just eyeballed it.

For the brim, I chained 8 sts, did double crochet back and forth (in the back loop only for a ribbed look) until it looked long enough in diameter for my daughter’s head, SC the ends together, then double crocheted in the round on top of it until it looked deep enough. Finished by sc the top together.
