Notes

This was my second attempt at the Gothic Tam (the first one turned out much too large). The pattern is easy, enjoyable and fun. I particularly like the crocheted loop cast on (sorry, I don’t recall what the pattern called it but you crochet stitches around a loop then pull the loop shut to form a circle of stitches.)

I’ve used the Ultra Alpaca before and found that it pilled but as I used it for gloves I guess that can’t be held against it. The yarn is easy to work with and knits up nicely. I probably should have selected a slightly lighter coloured yarn since the pattern doesn’t show up as well in the purple as it did in the first hat I did (it was teal).

Will likely make this hat again but need to focus on my socks before starting anything else.
