“You don’t want art prints, they’re so flat and lifeless” says my DH, “you want some real art.” So, failing the necessary spare £100 million to put a real Van Gogh on my walls, here is what I have. All made from bits & pieces left over in my stash.

The background is machine knitted, the vase is felted. I used three patterns as the starting point for the sunflowers, and improvised from there on. The flower inspirations are:

Lesley Stansfield’s ‘Gerbera’ from ‘100 Flowers to Knit & Crochet’

All mounted on a 24” by 30” canvas.
