6/8/13 I am not doing the provisional cast on. I’m just starting from the bottom and knitting up. Otherwise following the pattern.

10/9/13 I can’t really get past not wanting to follow the pattern on this and then not really feeling like it’s worth changing it as I go- so much mental work to try to make it flow in one piece like I wanted to knit it instead of having to cast off and pick up so much. It made me feel like I would be happier with the outcome if I just made the whole thing up. I decided it had sort of gone stale on my needles because of my love/hate relationship with it and since I’m really liking this yarn I’m going to use it for something else.
