Sacrificed an old WIP that has been sitting in my closet for years.
It’s that time again because (If you’ve ever been to any thrift shop) you can never have enough handmade acrylic Afghans.
02Dec2020- I want it 3’x6’. So two 36” squares. 9 rounds out from the middle square.
19Dec20- finished the first square.
5Jan21- finished second square.
I started going around with that multi. Loved it, but didnt have nearly enough. So I pooled all my black yarns and went around once. Not thick enough of a border. Going around a second time in black and then using the multi for a 5st icord border. It’s quite a slog.
(281g starting weight redheart)
May 2023- this has been sitting in my closet for years. I tried knitting two pannels and connecting them, but I didn’t like how it was going. So I decided to make it a monster 4 panel and I knew that wasn’t happening. I pulled it out and looked at it. (deciding to frog it) but it is perfect for a Twin sized bedspread/afghan. So I may rethink the border and finish it up.
19June2023-Finished, I went around with two rows of 6 stitches and finished off with an 5 stitch applied icord binding. Loved how it turned out!
