Notes

I’m making this for the 2016 Outfit Along. I’ll be sewing a pair of black Ginger Jeans to go with it. It won’t be a very seasonable combo if I finish by the OAL deadline at the end of July, but whatever.

I think Ultra Alpaca will be a decent sub for the two yarns held together in the original pattern. I’m pleased with the way that my swatch looks, and I think the fabric will drape well enough once it has the weight of a full sweater. I’m subbing traditional, mirrored rope cables for the cables called for by the pattern since I just wasn’t a huge fan of the way they looked when I swatched.

This is a different shape/style from what I normally make, so I’m hoping the sizing and fit work out. The 48.5” size should give me about 5-6” of ease at the bust.

6/7/17: The knitting is finished and the sweater has been blocked. It looks lovely on the hanger, but I will have to wait to post modeled shots when I am not six months pregnant.
