I’ve been looking for an easy to knit project for sometime, and this Poncho has been on my mind. I love this yarn

I started this project on a saturday while sitting at Lisa’s shop (Hidden River Yarns in Manayunk, PA). She said that the day was slow until I arrived and plunked down in one of the chairs. I explained as I entered, “you are preventing infanticide today.” And I meant it.

Nothing compares to the dopamine hit of staring a new project. Between the feel of the yarn as you wind the balls, to the feel of casting on, it’s truly amazing. I managed several rows at the shop, several on the way to and from the mall (my Least favorite place on a Saturday evening) and then for 2 hours in front of Hulu (season 2 of Lucifer is starting off with a bang). So this first picture represents one day of knitting.
THis is an easy, and likely will prove boring project. But election day is around the corner and I have plans to travel to NYC. Perfect.

Drove from New York to Philly for a concert and stood for rThae didn’t get their entire concert while waiting election results. Drove all the way home. I am now a third of the way through the project. It is about the size of a woman’s sweater at this point and very fun and easy. Have a lovely drape

12/1/16. Didn’t get it off the needles by the end of November, but it looks lovely.

12/2/16. Blocked today!

12/4/16. Just seamed it up. First time doing mattress stitch.
