I am using three unbranded yarns: three strands of orange, three of black and two of cream.

I want this to be oversized. My yarn is giving me 19 or 20 st gauge instead of the pattern’s 22. To increase further I cast on 260 stitches (and added an extra half pattern repeat to the bookshelves). In order for the bottom not to pull in I used the same size needle as for the body. The body measures ca. 48 inches.

I got rid of these extra stitches very easily on the raglans, by deceasing two stitches instead of one on each side of the body in rounds 3-13.

At the top of the bookshelves, instead of knitting three rounds in cream as per the pattern, I knitted two of black and six of cream, just to add a bit more space before the logo.

I have added a third colour. I have also colourblocked the sleeves (ie omitted the spines) for, hopefully, a stronger graphic look. My sleeves are 18 inches.

Finally, I did a much shallower neckband.
