I thoroughly enjoyed knitting this sweater for my oldest daughter (but my middle daughter is modeling).

I knit many rows in 3 colors, and the 4 color rows took forever but I do like the effect! Decided to split for sleeves after row 6 to avoid one of the 4 color rows. Used ladderback jacquard as described for chart 4. I loved the charting for where the ladders would be and appreciated the clear instructions for how to move them. I had to be extra careful on the 3 and 4 color rows to twist yarns so they wouldn’t show in the front and floats wouldn’t be too long. When the body was 12” from underarm, I switched to US2 needles and decreased every 20 stitches to 222 while beginning twisted ribbing. I knit ribbing for 1 1/2”.

For sleeves, I appreciated the little 8 stitch extra chart. I tried knitting on 3’s, but the sleeves felt constricting due to my tighter gauge. I started sleeves over on US4’s. For chart sleeve color work 2, I moved the first small small flower to line it up with the colorwork flower on the main part, so I wouldn’t have to carry the third and fourth colors all the way around. Followed directions, but sleeves were long enough at 64 stitches. I knit 2 more rounds and reduced 4 evenly. Switched to US 2’s for twisted rib. On row 17 bound off- 2” of ribbing. Underarm to cuff- 19” for my long limbed daughter.
