I mixed the yarn in the following way:

1 strand Holst Coast Dark Navy with 1 strand Garnstudio Drops Lace Black

1 strand Dibadu Funnies Piratengold with 1 strand Wolle Rödel senf-petrol

This way my gauge was perfect for the still light tunic, but not for the Embrace Octopus Sweater. So I have to modify the Pattern for the Octopus. I knit every round of the octopus pattern twice and in the wide I make some improvisations, so it looks right.

I started with a provisional cast on at the point where pattern calls “Divide for the body” and knit top down.

After that I picked up the live stitches, provisional cast on for the sleeves and knit upwards to finish the upper part and the yoke. Then I picked up the live stitches for the sleeves and knit downwards again.

I like my new dress. I am very happy that everything works like I hoped. It´s a warm and cozy dress and fits well.
Now I have to wait for the autumn to wear it.
