I love this variation and was very pleased with the result. Because of the satin strips within the yarn I used, I had a difficult time initially with the foundation chain but once I used a size H hook there was no problem. I needed the slippers to be 5 inches long, so I made a foundation chain of that size as oppose to adding rounds to the initial 10 suggested chains. Which means I began my project with 12 foundation chains, then worked the rest of the instructions exactly and eneded up with a size 2 (5in) 3-6 months slipper. I also did dc’s on the toe part of the slipper and hdc’s on the heel part. The last change I did was that I slipped the white skinny ribbon on the top back of the slipper which can be removed or changed in color for pink or blue. I did not sew in the ribbons. That is all, they are extremely adorable and loved by many.
