Notes

I’m making this sweater as a celebration for completing my PhD in Marine Sciences. Although I specialise in marine invertebrates, I just couldn’t resist this beautiful design.
I’m using Beiroa by Retrosaria Rosa Pomar.
The green will be the main colour and the grey will be the fish.

I don’t really like turtlenecks or the mock turtleneck and the crew neck didn’t appeal to me. So I decided to make a folded neckline just because my favourite sweater has a neckline like that.

I didn’t want the sleeves to be too tight so I only decreased on the last rows before the ribbing. I knitted 59 rounds with 74 stitches and reduced to 50 stitches in the last 24 rows (one row with 2 decreases and one row stockinette).

Edited:
I added 24 rounds to each sleeve as I felt they were a bit short for my taste.
