Notes

My daughter wanted a homemade teddy bear. I wanted to knit a teddy bear. Here comes my first ever teddy bear! Actually, it’s the first knitted animal I’ve ever made.

Long time in the making. It’s been a busy year, and I had to put this project down many times.

UPDATE: Well, I FINALLY finished! It’s certainly not perfect. There are mistakes, and things I would have done differently, but my daughter loves it and that’s what counts. I have to say either the guy who made this pattern wrote it up wrong, or he just did it differently from what he wrote. I followed his instructions almost to the T. The ears are shaped COMPLETELY different, and way too long. Not like the picture. I had to make sewing modifications just so they wouldn’t look like rabbit ears…and they’re still too long! Also, the shape of my bear’s head is totally different from the picture on the pattern. It’s so pointy in the front that you can barely see the eyes unless you tilt the bear to either side! It’s a bit irritating. But at least I know how to modify this next time I knit one. And the girlie loves it. So, there you go.
