I knitted these pieces for a friend who had just lost her mother. She found this pattern and yarn in her mothers stash, set aside as her Christmas gift, but not yet knitted. This was not a quick project as I don’t often knit with yarn this small, but I am satisfied with the final results.

I did the large size mittens and, as per request, lined them with green fleece. I did not like the set up of the mitten pattern, it was spread out over multiple pages and written in a way that made it challenging to follow quickly. (Think, cuff pattern, thumb gusset, hand portion, ivy chart all on different pages and being knitted simultaneously; challenging.)

I had a few pattern notes/issues, these might be my personal problem but I found these changes helpful;

Left Mitt Pattern Row 36: K14, p1 tbl, k2.

Thumb Gusset (for Left Mitt): Row 29: K23 (25), PM, M1R, k2, M1L, PM…etc
