Notes

My big sis commissioned these pillows from me for her seventies themed living room. The pattern called for super bulky or double stranded worsted weight yarn. Unfortunately the double stranded worsted on the recommended needles resulted in a pillow case that was still see through, and didn’t really meet the correct measurements.

SO, I ended up ordering another 6 skeins and TRIPLE STRANDING each pillow sham. As a result they are the most squishy and wonderful pillow cases ever. The pattern does recommend 1” buttons and I ended up getting 2” buttons.

The button hole rows were done in a knit row instead of continuing in the rib stitch, which I thought was strange. I altered the pattern to create the buttonholes in the ribbing so they would look more natural and also not mess with the tension of the rib section of the pattern. I also ended up doing a blanket stitch around the button holes to give them more substance.

Jeanne loves them! The last photo is of her new pillow cases in their new home.
