Notes

The name for the shawl was inspired by Hiroko Fukatsu’s Hitofude Cardigan, which she described as knitting it in “one brush stroke” - Hitofude (without having to break the yarn).

This shawl has a very interesting construction, and the final result is achieved without ever having to break the yarn. Genius!!!

The pattern can be used with any yarn (instructions and formulas are given for enlarging or decreasing the size), it has interesting stitch combinations and every detail is well explained with clearly written instructions and photo tutorials.

I loved every minute of knitting it. I am also very pleased with how the colours of the Gomitolo were enhanced within the stripes. I looked at several Gomitolo projects, but found that all the lovely colours disappeared within the yarn. The solid coloured stripes make them shine.

One of my favourite projects this year heart_suit
