4 Mar 2010 - Whoooo Hooo It worked! - I snipped a stitch at the side seam (so pleased I slip stitched every other row on the side as I knit this in the round!) and unzipped one row, putting top and bottom of the sweater on separate needles. Knit down in the oatmeal colour - only 5 rows cos that was all the yarn I had. Then kitchenered the two halves back together in the dark brown. I’m impressed with the result - I know it’s there, but I doubt really anyone else would notice! Chuffed to bits!

Mar 2010: This jumper has been finished twice so far ! - It’s a new record! I’ve already lengthened it from the bottom above the rib, and now I’m trying to make the stripe longer, so I’ve undone a row of knitting at the bottom of the stripe - put both halves of the jumper on separate needles, and am going to extend the stripe and then graft - well that’s the plan anyway!

Jan 2010:I’m going to get a bit of cream/beige/oatmeal to go with my stashed dark brown to lift the colour a bit. This is the third time something in this yarn has been started to fingers crossed this one works!
