This was a very nice project, it has a story. I received the yarn from a colleague of mine. Russian, straight from her family in Orenburg. Once I met her in a professional meeting in Vienna. I was wearing one of my shawl and she came to me to tell me that my shawl was remembering her of those they were knitting in her family village: Orenburg. Imagine! yes I said this is exactly what I am trying to do. She could not believe that someone in Switzerland was making something so similar to what she knew from her childhood. She promised she would try to get some yarn for me. A couple of months later, here it is on my desk at work, brought by common colleagues direct from russia: a beatiful, big skein of hand spoonned yarn with a lovely letter. I think I started knitting it quite straight away. One of the best gift ever to me :-)
