Oct 19 2025: I usually make a 64 st sock. I expect this pattern to pull in a bit. So, I am making the larger size (72 sts).

GTCO 68 sts on 2.5mm needles. Transferred to US 0 (2mm) and knit the cuff. Used this video by Assia Brill for a smooth join. Increased to 72 sts after the cuff. Knit the body with US 1 needles.

I made a usual heel flap and gusset as Strong Heels don’t fit me very well. Reduced to 64 sts after the heel.

Knit the heel flap over 36 sts for 32 rows. Picked up 17 sts on each side and reduced 2 sts from the instep on each side.

I am very happy with the socks.
