Aug 19, 2026: GTCO 72 sts with 2.75mm needles. Transferred to 2.25mm needles and started 1x1 ribbing. I made the purls through the back of the loop and wrapping the yarn clockwise. This way the ribbing looks tighter and is more elastic.

I am enjoying knitting with this yarn. It’s stickier and slightly thicker than Opal.

I knit a 1x1 rib with the purl st knit tbl. Here is a thorough analysis by Nimble Needles showing the techniques for neater ribbing.

18 rows of 1x1 rib. Knit 20 rows. Reduced to 70 sts on the 21st stockinette row. K2tog 3rd and 4th sts after BOR. Mirror it on the back magic loop needle.

End of Ducathi gusset to beginning of toe: 65 rows (5.3 inches).

25 row toe decreases:
dec, knit 3 rows (32 sts)
dec, kint 2 rows (2 times), 28 sts
alternate row dec 6 times, 16 sts
every row dec 4 times, 8 sts.
Kitchener close.

Measurements AFTER blocking:
Top to beginning of Ducathi gusset: 6.5 inches, 20 rows of cuff and 68 rows of stockinette
End of Ducathi gusset to beginning of toe: 5.3”, 65 rows of stockinette
End of Ducathi gusset To the end of the toe: 7.75”
