The recommended yarn is very fine and mine is less so. Even 68 stitches is too big for me in this yarn in lace, so I reduced needle size a little and the stitch count. I don’t want to go down to a very small needle as the eyelets will be too small and the lace effect lessened.

Reduced stitch count to 64 and needle size. Start cuff K, P2, K, P, and finish with the last twist followed by a purl in order to get front, back and sides balanced again.

Reversed stitches for knit-purl cable cast on (including those above) so as to end up with yarn in right place and stitches facing and ready to join at the end of the cast on. Wrote out my own chart for CO.

Changed needles after 3 repetitions of rounds 13-22. Dutch heel. After working gusset decreases, worked first and last stitches on sole as K1B.
