FINALLY! I finished the second sock today! Why did I let this rest so long? I was apprehensive after forgetting all the tricky parts I learned along the way on the first sock, and the procrastination devil got the best of me on that. Then I mustered some courage and collected encouragement from others and pressed on. I always seem to forget how much better it feels to face a challenge and conquer it, than to hide in fear or whatever from it. I will let these socks serve as a reminder to me to face my fears!

I learned a lot doing these, but I’m happy to be able to move onto the next project.

I was well on my way with the second sock until I realized I somehow royally messed up the short rows for the heel turn. Not having put in a lifeline, I attempted to unravel back to a good point to start over, but this tiny yarn’s loops were impossible to get back onto a needle. I frogged the entire second sock and will try it again, doing some practice before I do that part again. I am switching to something easier for a break before I tackle this again.

Geez, this second sock! I took too long a break from it. I have unreveled it so many times and tinked back way too much, but I installed a lifeline and finally relearned what I did wrong on the increases. Next I am about do do the heel turn. I installed another lifeline, this time. Wish me luck!
