I had 2 skeins of the alpaca silk in a lace weight so I wound them together to get a heavier yarn to make this shawl. The warm colors in the gray matched the skein of Ranco I had so I changed my mind from my original plan of making this shawl with just the gray yarn and decided to use the Ranco as a contrast. I love this. It is light and warm and stylish. I love the way is wraps around the body and prevents that “grandma” look you get when wearing a regular shawl. Very fun knit.

Asuka the cat decided she needed to help me photograph the shawl. It makes such a good kitty-bed. Really.
