There are some errata in the pattern:

• The edge stiches are not counted in the pattern, only in the beginning.
• The collar measurements are not right written, 16 cm instead of 8 cm for the collar and 8 cm for the yoke start.

Mods:

• I used RLI and LLI instead for increases written in the pattern.

• Added 3 sets of short rows to drop the front and to raise the back neck and yoke. I knitted short rows directly after the cable twist and made the next followed cable twist on the WS, on the 6-th row instead of the 5-th. It makes the short rows invisible and not distrurbe the pattern. (The short rows are marked with red yarn on the 4-th pict.)

• Added 8 sts for underarm. There was no sts in the pattern for this. Decreased them later in every 4-th row.

• To avoid holes in the dividing for sleeves I crossed two stitches as I learned here: TECHknitting: crossing sts.. ( See 5-th picture).

• Added the pockets with I-cord edging. CO additional 32 sts. for each pocket and 3 extra sts. for I-cord.

• Added 8 underarm sts. for the sleeves. Knitted sleeves in the round on DPNs, decreased 2 sts every 6-th row 13 times. Then decreased 86 sts until 60 sts as followed:“ k2, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k1, k2tog” = 6 times and 2 times with one extra k1 + k2tog. Then went down to 3.0 mm and 2x2 ribb 12 cm. Bind off 2x2 ribbing with tapestry needle on 2.5mm.

• 6 Button holes on 6 sts each.

• Pocket linings 32sts. and 40 rows - the lower part.

Sept, 27 2012: Finally started the jacket. It’s been waiting in my queue for a long time.
I knit with the both yarns, held together. There is something wrong in the pattern. Zzzzz…..

Feb. 11, 2013: ….Picked up the jacket after a long break. Now I’m attending to finish it.

Feb. 14, 2013: Knitted about 16 cm of the yoke and discovered that I started increases too early.
It’s only to redo and make it right. :-))) ( third pict.)

Feb. 20, 2013: Reknitted part of the yoke and started increases. I’m also planning to add a couple of shorw rows to raise the back neck and yoke. I started every stokinette part with 1 knit instead of 2 sts. which means I have 19 sts less than the pattern.

March 2, 2013: The jacket proceeds very slowly, there are loooooooooooong rows, over 500 sts.!
I’m getting close to dividing for the sleeves.

March 3, 2013: Divided for sleeves as followed: 523sts= 80+104+155+104+80.

March 14, 2013: Нad no time for knitting nearly two weeks.(((

March 17, 2013: Started the pockets.

March 25, 2013: Finished pockets.

March 31, 2013: Finished the body at the length recommended at the pattern. I’m not sure about the length so I just left the bottom edge on the cable so far… I might finish it later if I have enough yarn.
Now, to the sleeves…

Аpril 4, 2013: One sleeve is done, started the other one.

Аpril 7, 2013: Тhe second sleeve is done.

April 8-11, 2013: Tryed to knit button bands using this nice method . Picked up stitches with
4.5 mm needle, knitted 3 rows with 3.5 mm, then picked up sts on the wrong
side of the band with 3.0 mm and
knitted 4 rows. Then knitted both
sides together with 3.0 mm needles and
2x2 ribb. BO with tapestry needle as
at sleeves.
BUT! It didn’t work out. The cotton yarn is too thick for this method.

April 12, 2013:I unraveled and started over (on 235 sts.) as in the pattern. Used the same BO as at sleeves.

April 14, 2013: Button holes are done, just a couple of rows and pocket linings left.

April 19, 2013:The jacket is finished!!! Pict. are coming after blocking.

April 26, 2013:Finally took some pictures today.
