Got rid of the horizontal motif at the end of the cuff, modded the ribbing stripes and length such that the cuff would still be the same length.

Ended up having to completely rework the top of the mitten: as written it was way too short for my large hands. I added an extra half motif, and worked it so the decreases frame the flower. Timed it so the palm still follows the chart for top of mitten (started decreases at the same repeat point in the pattern).

Also didn’t bother reading how the pattern said to do the top of mitten decs - did it so that the border was continuous and the same length. Stacked sl 1, k2tog, psso at the top.

Probably going to have to end up lengthening the thumb as well. Joy.

Yep have to lengthen to thumb. A whole motif was too long - half a motif should do it.
