I am a tight knitter, and I usually use a lot less yarn than patterns call for. But this pattern uses up All. The. Yarn. I just had 3g each left of my MC and CC1. Know that you might have to make some modifications to the pattern so that you don’t run out of yarn -- I would suggest eliminating the last four rows of the final lace section (in MC) if you’re running low. Managing CC1 is trickier, because if you shorten the garter ridge section that is all CC1, your stitch count would be off for the mosaic section that follows. I guess just be prepared for yarn chicken!

Got 5 sts/in in Stockinette on US 6 needles rather than the 6.25 sts/in specified in pattern.

Got about 6.5 sts/in on US 4. On to US 3!

Unblocked gauge in stockinette on US 3:
25.5 sts = 4”; 37 rows = 4”

Blocked gauge in stockinette on US 3:
25 sts = 4”; 37.5 rows = 4”

Blocked gauge in Ridge Pattern on US 3:
23 sts = 4”; 36 rows = 4”
Pattern swatch was blocked aggressively and pinned to dry.

After consulting with designer, learned that it’s more important to get pattern gauge for Ridge Stitch than for Stockinette — so, back to US 6!
