Frogging an absolutely ancient (circa 2006) UFO and repurposing the yarn for this amazing cardigan.

I was a bit confused about the increases for the sleeve when I first began; the pattern does not specifically tell you to add your increases in pattern, although obviously you should. I found it helpful to place two stitch markers, one near the beginning of the round after the increases and one near the end of the round before the increases — this allowed me to easily see the original beginning and end of the round and “count back” to add my increases in pattern.

Even though I thought I had achieved pattern gauge, I found that my sleeve decreases were too “slow” and would have made my first sleeve too long. For my second sleeve, I decreased every seven rounds instead of every nine rounds, and that worked out much better.
