Notes

This pattern was an enjoyable knit. I am looking forward to wearing it as a staple piece in my wardrobe. The pattern is well-written and easy to understand. I hope you love your What the Fluff Cardigan as much as I love mine. Happy knitting!

Modifications:
I knit full-length sleeves and bound off in pattern for all of bind offs. I held fingering weight double instead of fingering weight and lace weight. Used 678 g (2,420 yards) of fingering weight yarn.

Colorways:
MC: Slabtown and Newport held double
CC: Faun and Rockaway held double

12-16-2023

Finished back yoke. Picked up stitches for left front. See 2nd to last picture for progress photo.

12-17-2023

Started and finished left front. Knit right front through the armhole shaping. Joined front and back pieces. Knit 1” on the body of the cardigan.

12-18-2023

Alternated old and new skeins every 2 rows to fade in the new skeins of Slabtown and Newport on the body. The new skein of Slabtown is significantly darker. The new skein of Newport is significantly lighter than the first skein.

12-25-2023

Finished knitting the body. Switched to CC and started ribbing. Modification: knit first row of CC. Then knit ribbing in pattern.

12-28-2023

Finished ribbing. Bound off in pattern. Knit 2” on 1st sleeve. Faded in CC coloways using broken rib.

Knit shawl collar.

Bound off and weaving in ends.
