Again. Hopefully I won’t toss this one in the wash.

One more set of increases, but I’m out of yarn-- reserving those last few yards for blending with a new skein, should it ever come.

The yarn came. I knitted it up. It came together beautifully. And I tried it on.

I’ve been leaning towards lengthening garments, so had added extra length in the waist.

Bad idea.

Oy. Oy. Oy. I just can’t leave it alone, can I?! WHY would I try to improve what I’d been happy with last time?!

So…. rip all the way back, past the finishing and everything? too disheartening.

Cut it off at the waist and work down? I’d have to reverse engineer the short rows. Too discouraged to feel mentally up to that.

Cut out the middle and graft? Sure. I don’t mind grafting.

But, the set up would be a pain and fiddly…. so it sat for months.

I’ve just (5/17) had the idea to graft first and cut after, knitting needle free. Probably crazy stupid, but it’s intrigued me enough to pull it back out and give it a try instead of waiting……

I should really have this ready to go before the blink-and-you-miss-it warm weather appears.
