Continue in garter st (knit all rows) until you have 65 ridges
BO sts until 1 st remains

Pick up and knit 59 sts in each space between ridges
60 sts on needle

Knit in the round until hat measures 5” from lower edge

Decrease:

Round 1 : K8, K2 tog; repeat * to * around 5 more times
Round 2 : K
Round 3 : K7, K2tog; repeat * to * around 5 more times
Round 4 : K
Round 5 : K6, K2tog; repeat * to * around 5 more times
Round 6 : K
Round 7 : K5, K2tog; repeat * to * around 5 more times
Round 8 : K
Round 9 : K4, K2tog; repeat * to * around 5 more times
Round10: K
Round11: K3, K2tog; repeat * to * around 5 more times
Round12: K
Round13: K2, K2tog; repeat * to * round 5 more ties
Round14: Knit
Round15: K1, K2tog; repeat to * around 5 more times

Cut Yarn and leave 8” to 12” to gather remaining sts closed and weave in ends.
