30/12: Cast on. Actually, cast on 5 times because I kept getting my YO’s wrong and dropping stitches everywhere. Think I’ve got it now.

31/12: spoke too soon. Got to the end of the first eyelet section, had the wrong number of stitches, for the LIFE of me couldn’t figure out where it went wrong or where to frog back too. Rippit rippit, cast-on number six!!
Finally figured out what the dickens I’m meant to do, and have started using bright orange filet crochet thread as a lifeline so that if I DO have to rip back (heaven forbid), I can just go back to the beginning of a two-row repeat and pick up the stitches, including the infernal YOs.

19-02-2012 - after letting this one sit in my WIP bucket for a while, finally pulled it out for craft afternoons. Just did two sets of eyelets then finished it off for a shawlette. Blocking as I type.
